Jim Savage brings unparalleled capability and integrity to the security and risk management profession by virtue of his 20+ years in the US Secret Service from which he retired as Deputy Assistant Director. During his career, Jim led complex financial crimes investigations, high consequence threat cases, served on the Vice President’s protective detail, co-authored legislation as a temporary staff member in the Senate Judiciary and helped steer the Secret Service in its transition to the new Department of Homeland Security.
Building upon his government experience, Jim completed 14+ years on the leadership team for Hunt Oil Company in Dallas, a private owned international organization known and respected for its ability to operate anywhere in the world. Many of the operational venues included extreme technical and security challenges such as Northern Iraq that could only be overcome through innovation and cooperation of host government forces forged over time through trust building relationships. During his time at Hunt Oil, Jim helped the security department earn a world class reputation with numerous protective and preparedness initiatives that benefitted employees, families and the community.
Now as a consultant, Jim is redefining security by bringing an invaluable and unique blend of experience and competence to organizations and individuals wishing to better understand their risks and options to protect their employees and family members.
